NATE Achieves 20,000 Technician Milestone

Arlington, VA - In September, Brandon Lincoln of D&G Heating and Cooling in Livonia, MI became the 20,000th HVAC technician to earn NATE certification. In addition to passing the core exam, Brandon successfully completed the Gas Heating exam.

Brandon’s supervisor Brett Green feels that NATE certification distinguishes Brandon as among the industry’s best technicians. "By passing the NATE exam, our customers know that Brandon has committed himself to achieving excellence in his industry," said Brett.

D&G Heating and Cooling has made a significant commitment to NATE certification. Since fall 2004, the company has certified three technicians on staff and believes that NATE certification strengthens its commitment to excellent customer service. "NATE certification is important to D&G Heating & Cooling because we have a long history of providing highly trained and competent technicians. NATE certification is just one way to show our customers that great service isn't something we take lightly," said Brett Green.

Technician Brandon Lincoln says that NATE certification allows him to prove his knowledge of HVAC. "NATE certification assures my customers that I’ve demonstrated that I understand heating and cooling," said Brandon. A graduate of the William D. Ford Vocational Technical Career Center in Westland, Michigan, Brandon plans to earn additional specialty certifications beyond the gas furnace certification he earned earlier this year.

Rex Boynton, president of NATE stated, "The 20,000th technician is a significant milestone in NATE’s history. NATE’s Consumer Contractor Connection online locator currently lists NATE-certified technicians serving over 23,000 U.S. zip codes. As more technicians make the commitment to demonstrating excellence, we look forward to NATE’s coverage growing even broader."
